Well not long finished watching the very talented Tom and Maria on Create and Craft at lunch time. Great show and very inspirational. Tom never ceases to amaze me with what he can do with a blending tool and mask! The Card samples that the design team produced were incredible and I think they should all give themselves a big pat on the back. Sam excelled herself with the most wonderful card useing the three kings mask. A husge well done to you for that one Sam. I know that it took a lot of perfecting and you worked very hard on it. Here are some of the samples that I produced and we all have our favourite dont we. Well mine were the poinsettias. I could have played all day with that one. Dawn Bibby was rather partial to my Xmas Tree one. Well off to cook tea for hubby. Better keep him sweet as he has just done a round trip to the team valley to replenish my stock of 8x8 cards. Thank you Cliff.

Well not had a chance to blog for a little while as hubby busy decorating and the house upside down. Amazing how one little room when you start to empty turns into a tardus!!!! Finished this after though so start cleaning up tomorrow. Well that is till 12pm when Tom is on C&C again when I will be glued to tele. Been busy making cards for the show and took a trip to Suzicraft on Tuesday to give to Tom. Well you know what the rain was like but I thought in my wisdom that as it had stopped at that moment in time it would be OK. Ha ha fooling myself. Got down to Stockton OK but the rain started again! Coming home what should have been a forty minute journey turned into an hour and a half!!!!! Still kept me out of Cliffs way while he was busy.

Just was having a look at some of my pics and saw this one. The other day I was playing with one of Splodgeaways masks and was looking for something to put in the centre. You know we are all so keen to try out new products and techniques that I think we forget some of the old ones as so I decided to try medallion stamping again. I am sure that lots of you remember these but for anyone that doesnt it is a rubber stamp in the shape of a medallion of some type which you stamps several times and then cut out reducing each time rather like decoupage. then you either paint or glitter. I usually prefer glitter and this was the finished article. Hope you like it.

Had a great day at Suzicraft. Tom was doing a class with his xmas scenescape. As I had already purchased one I thought I would join the class to see how Tom would do it as it was his creation. The night before I had tried mine out and I will post the picture of the finished product. Well just goes to show how we all see something different! Turns out that what I thought was a church was the bottom half of houses and what I thought was footsteps leading to church was actually the windows for the houses!!!! What a laugh. Well I was dead impressed when I learnt how the make the houses but I wtill like my church and footpath. Unfortunatley I havent finished what I made with Tom so havent taken picture yet but here is mine anyway. I have also posted pics of flowers I made which if I say myself are lovely. Well I love them and it never ceases to amaze me how you can turn a piece of plain white paper into lovely flowers.

Evening all. ( Does that remind the oldies of anything?)
This morning I had my crafty fix by doing some work on a friends wedding invites. Now I cant tell you much about them as she is keeping them a secret but there is a lot of splodging going on! What a brave girl who has the guts to have something different. When I am allowed I will reveal all.
After that I thought it was about time I did some housework. ( That dreaded word) I hate it when it gets in the way of my playing but there you go I suppose I have to make the effort. Actually when done the place looked quite nice and I was pleased I had made the effort. All nice and clean for us to mess up again. What a thankless job and you know there is no retireing age from it!!!!!!!!!!!
Time for a nice cup og tea and then bed. Down to Suzicraft tomorrow for a little visit.x

Good afternoon all. Well another gorgeous day. I am torn between going out and staying in doing housework and crafting. Couldnt make up my mind so I am having a day with a mixture of all. Went out yesterday with hubby and had a lovely day starting with Sunday Lunch at the Mill pub in Rainton Bridge and then down to Seaham harbour for Ice Cream. Mmmmmm Rum and Raisin. We walked down to the harbour and had a sit in the sun. got talking to two lovely ladies from Stockton. They had been to South shields for the day the day before!!!!!! Couldnt go without posting a couple of cards I have made for friends and relatives and then as I think I have done enough housework it back to crafting.
Fot the thirtieth birthday card for my nephew I went back to one of my old time favourites the word book. Love doing these and dont know why I dont do them more often. They always make a nice card and the beauty of them are that you can make them wimple but effective by useing nice patterned card or fancy them up with embellishments.
Whatever you are doing enjoy your day and Happy Crafting all you crafters.x

My proud moment.
Just before I went on my Jollies the now famous TOM JOHNSON from SPLODGE AWAY based at SUZICRAFT in Stockton on tees asked me, along with other members of his design team to do some samples for his next show on create and craft. I only had four days to come up with something as I was due to go away but was up for the challenge. After all I thought if not good enough they wont be used so nothing to lose. I was unable to watch the show but got someone to record it for me and was soooooooooooo proud to see my cards on Toms show. Not only that but when I was watching Dawn
Biddy on C&C on Tuesday there was Dawn holding up one of my cards again. Wow twice in one week. Told my friends they will have to pay to talk to me now and curtsey when they see me.lolx
Thanks to Tom for giving me this opportunity.xxxx The top card withthe ribbon is the one from Dawn Bibbies show but they were all on Toms show.

Busy week! not half. I have had loads of projects on over the last week and each one as important as the next. Or so it seemed. Our lovely tom from Suzicraft invited me to be on the design team for Suzicraft and Splodge Away. how honoured was I. He set me a task this week to do some some samples for Suzicraft so I set to with fumbling fingers (like I'd never made a card before ) I was so nervous. How stupid but it was important to me to make a good job and fill his criteria. Well got there and I will put a few on my blog for you to see.
Next on my list, was Little Joan had given me two pages for me to decorate in her circle book ,the theme being shabby sheik. Now for those of you who are not familiar with a circle book heres what it is. A group of friends get together to make a book. If there are six of you then it will have a front cover and the first pages inside will be your rules and what your theme is. The next six pages will then be left blank and passed around your friends in turn. They will each complete a page interpreting your theme in their way until the book is complet.e Hope that makes sense. Its lovely to see peoples ideas.
The top one with the bird cage was achieved by painting the board withe blue acryclic paint, then a layer of PVA glue and then a layer of mixed mushroom and yellow acrylic paint. This is then dried with a heat gun to create the crackled effect. The bird cage and bird on twig was cut from a marianne die as was the leaf.. The butterfly ( and this is where I make a comple idiot of myself) how on earth do you spell hypoxi sticker!!!!!!!!!!! The works were an Indigo Blue rubber stamp, distressed ( On my Splodge Mat of course) The edges were curled and it was finished of with a little metal embellishment from my crafty stash.
It doesnt end there. My daughters friend had a little girl three weeks early so a card was required and next my nieces 40th birthday. This one had to be special but first I had to make one from my daughter!
This is what I made from me. Splode away was used in abundance in this one. Unfortunately my camera doesnt always take the best pictures ( or is it me) and show them of to there best. Not always picking up the detail but here goes.
Back to Suzicraft tomorrow to say hello to my crafty friends and to hand in my circle book which, yes, I started this week as well!
Good night and Happy Crafting. (If you dont craft why not!!!!!!!) lolxxxx

Just because I could!
Well I was going to say good afternoon but it isnt, dull and horrible drizzle. Not fair when down south they are having sunshine and heat. Never mind I suppose its a good excuse to craft. ( Not that I need one).
The next card I am going to post is a one I began late last night and finished early this morning. No reason, Just because I could.
I thought that I would have a lovely play with some of my splodge away masks and see what happens. This is the end result.
Tara for nowx

Hi everyone. Well I managed to set up my blog ( just needs to be prettied up a bit) but have been such a busy girl I havent had time to come back on. My sister in law come up from Sussex last Thursday and on Friday my hubby and I spent the day with her in whitby. Great day out. Nice weather and went the scenic root so saw lots of lovely countryside.
Saturday was spent at my favourite shop Suzicraft in Stockton. Home of the Splodge Away mat and masks. Lovely time with friends but didnt do much crafting as the tirant of an owner got us working.lol. Had a fab time.
Sunday another day with hubby and sister in law Catherine. Well that was a day. If you asked me where we didnt go it might be easier to answer. Started at Seaham. Tea and toasted tea cake outside of a lovely shop on sea front. While we were there the red arrows did there display at the Sunderland Air Show and we had a great view down the coast.
From there we went to Hardwick Park and had a walk and picnic. This is a beautiful place to go if you live near,
Next was Sedgefield where there was a fete on the village green. Had teas in Ceddesfield Hall.
It didnt end there. On to Hartlepool Marina and a look around the Museum followed by a walk around the Marina stopping for yes if you know me you have guessed it - another cup of tea sitting outside another cafe looking over the yachts in gorgeous sunshine.
Then home shattered but happy.
Monday was chill day and today I went to Newcastle Station to wave Catherine goodbye as she headed home.
Thats all for today folks.
Happy Craftin and take care.x

Well I think I am getting the hang of this blog thing so here goes another 8x8 card.
Briefly this card was created by Useing a Splodge Away mask of dots distressing the edges( useing my fabulous Splodge away mat) with Tim Holtz distress Inks. I have then embossed a Splodge away mask on brown card useing my Grand Calibur. I have then carefully cut it out and mounted it onto the dotty card. To the bottom right i have added three cogs again embossed with splodge Away masks. To complete the card I have stamped a greeting and pocket watch. These are joined by a chain crocheted out of bakers twine.
You may be thinking Splodge Away well yes I am a self confessed Spodge Aholic. The mat is just amazing for useing all your inks to blend and distress and you use every last drop of ink.
I am going to finish off today by adding some other cards and a little piece of artwork that I am particularly proud of. this was made at an Annette Leigh workshop and I had never done anything like this before.
Bye for nowxx
