Hi all you lovely bloggers. Its a lovely sunny evening to be enjoyed with a glass of wine I think. on my own as other half having a night out with our son.

I had a great day today at Suzicraft having a good mooch around there sale. If you live near enough I suggest that you pay a visit. Amazing bargains to be had.

Well I am off on monday down the south to visit all my lovely realtives so I wont be around for a while so I thought that before I went I would share this piece of work with you. I have to say its one of my favourites. Created useing a combination of my Splodge Away mat and distress inks, Sheena Douglasses stamps which I have to say were a joy to work with and give crisp results and also indigo Blue guilding flakes.

I did do this piece for the Splodge Away blog but it hasnt been shown yet so I will probably be in the mire for showing it but hey ho. They are currently showing the DT teams creations made with there favourite masks. Its worth popping over and haveing a look at some of the wonderful work that is produce useing the mask and splodge mat.

BUTTON IT UP

Good morning all and Happy Fathers day to all you daddies out there. We are going to my sons in sedgfield with my daughter and son in law for a barbeque. Pray the weather holds out for us. Lovely and Sunny so far.

This morning I thought I would like to share with you a card I have made for the Fussy and Fancy challenge. Button It Up. To make I put some distress inks in Bundled sage and frayed corduroy onto my splodge mat and then spritzed with water roughly in the shape of a tree and then transferred to a piece of easy ink card. when dry I then stamped the tree over it in Archival coffeee. I then distressed the edges with the same two colours  but adding a little more green around the trees. I then stamped the sentiment and flowers and finished by adding buttons on the tree and some punched leaves in patterned paper in the bottom left with  a button on top. Hope you like.

Would like to enter this to the

COUNTRY COTTAGE FOR ROBERT.

Robert this is for you. I am afraid that no matter how I tried the picture quality was poor but I hope that with the aid of the pics and my explanation you manage to construct your cottage! lol.x

Well here goes. The first pic shows 3 of the elements of the cottate. Place number one onto the part of the card that you wish you cottage to go and then colour. You then take number two and but up to the left of number one and then colour. You now have your two walls. Number 3 is the roof which you need to line up by placeing the peeks together. I think this is fairly easy to work out. The fourth part is probably to most complex ( Its easy really when you know how) Hold the windows and door par of your mask over your house and firstly line the door up with the bottom of this house then you need to move the mask into position to get your window and dormas in place. the best way I found to do this is to get the little triangles lined up with the peek on the cottage.  As you go along this usually all falls into place. I hope this makes sense? The middle picture shows the mask over the cottage after I had coloured it. Robert I hope you and anyone else that reads this is enlightened on how to construct the cottage. Your feedback would be appreciated and a nice little pic of you finished article.

BLING IT ON

Hi everyone. Well I missed the last Fussy and Fancy Challenge so I set to and made this one for the next challenge which is Bling and more bling! I made this by cutting a square of card that fitted an A5 card and with my splodge mask distressed with Peacock Feathers. I did this twice. This was then mounted onto silver mirri board. I then cut another one down to a third of its size and again mounted on mirri board. The square was mounted onto the left of the A5 card in a landscape position.I stamped a lace pattern onto the blank pieces to the right, again in Peacock feathers. I then glued the lace where they joined. useing foam pads I attached the second piece of card in a landscape poition but lineing up to the right. I had previously stamped and coloured with pro markers a saturated canary stamp and cut out with an x cut die. I glittered part of her dress. and put pearls around the corners. this is then attached to centre of square useing foam pads. To complete I put sticky back gems around the backing card.

Hope you like.

PEARLS AND LACE

Well they say the early bird catches the worn but it seems I have been the cows tail!!!! I thought that as our Sam was hosting the Fussy and Fancy challenge and the theme she had chosed was lace and pearls I would give it a shot. I knew it must be coming to a close but I busted a gut (excuse the expresion) to do a card and this is the result.

Went to put it on the challenge and it wase closed!!!! Oh well. Better luck next time.x
To make this card I stamped a lace border  stamp on black card with  versamark and embossed in white. this was repeated down the card.
I then glued real cotton lace around the edges and finished with a pearl in each corner. The cameo was a die cut in black glitter that I embellished with pearls in the hat, earring and necklace. This was then glused to card over a feather and a flurish attached then embellished with pearls. Hope you like.
