AUTUMN IN SPLODGE LAND

Hello to all you Splodgy Splodgers and bloggers. Today i am shareing with you the inspiration I made for the Splodge Away blog whos theme this week is Autumn. I am sorry if I am a bit late in shareing this with you but been a very busy day as I had to take my cousin to hospital to have a procedure done which took up a lot of time so I know you will understand. I used three maske to make this card, well four if you include the mask for the sun. I placed that onto the card and then blended around the edges fading it as I got towards the middle. I then went in with the dotty mask around the 3 corners gradually fading the colours. I then did the leafy swirl to the right  and used just the leaves randomly around the card. Finally I did the tree which i then used guilding flakes over. A little bit of ink across the sun and a Hobby Art sentiment finished it of. I was trying to get the feel of the wind and falling leaves into the card. Did I succeed? Love to hear your thoughts.

2nd post for today.

Gremlins in the works!

Good Afternoon. Well I wasnt going to post this till tomorrow but as I had such a problem with my first post today and the wrong blog address was posted I thought I might as well just do a new post and hopefully get the right blog address on. This was made with the third stamp in the Clarity set we used at the workshop and the centre arch was a Clarity mask. I wont go into too much detail as I am now short on time but can I just say that the sentiment is A Hobby Art one and the little acorns were finished with glossy accents. what a difference this made.
Enjoy the rest of your day and

More workshop projects

Happy Monday

Good morning all. Well I dont know about where you live but although its drying up here now the day started with torrential rain and very windy. Good excuse to stay in and craft. Yesterday I shared with you my first Gelli Plate project that I did at a workshop with Annette Lee and today I would like to show you another of the pieces I made but first I would like to say a big thank you for all your comments. I so appreciate them .Like the gelli plate one I made the basics at the class and then finished off at home.

We were very lucky because part of the package for the days workshop was one of the new Clarity Stamps and mask. While we were playing with them a very similar product was being launched on Create and Craft. This stamp set includes the sillouette leaf and positive leafe and also a flower spray which I used on a different card and will share with you tomorrow. Useing various auntumnal shades of distress inks we stamped the sillouette stamp radomly from top left to bottom right. Now this was new for me. Wait for it. Can you believe I have had a speedball brayer in my stash for absolutely years and never used it! Well its true and it came out on Saturday and I brayered the top right and bottom left of card. I was very proud of the result. Next I stamped 5 leaves and painted with distress inks. When I got home I highlighted the leaves with guilding wax down the veins. Finally I stamped the sentiment. Oh I forgot I went round the edges with black soot. A must to make your card pop. It was then mounted onto a yellow card just slighly bigger than the project and finally onto a 7x7 card.
I will be back tomorrow if I can with the final project. In the meanwhile.

First Piece of Gelli Plate

My first Piece of Gelli Plate work.

Well Happy Sunday bloggers. On Saturday I went to Sedgfield to  a workshop with the lovely Annette Lee and we made a number of projects but today I would like to share this one with you to see what you think. Hubby is buying me a Gelli Plate for christmas and as luck would have it we had the opportunity to have a go on a one at the workshop and this is the result. What do you think. I am not 100% happy with the pic. As often happens when you use mettallics you get glare etc. anyway I think you get the drift. We used all Clarity products that were provided and any of your own you wished to use. This one was made with all Clarity. I didnt get it finished at the workshop but I brought the bits home and had an extra play and matted and layered into the final card. I trimmed the print as I wasnt happy with the edges. ( A bit messy for me) then mounted onto Easy ink card from Splodge Away which I then distressed with scattered straw and black soot. The birds and leaves were highlighted with cosmic shimmer guilding wax made into a paint with blending solution and also a white pen. would love to know what you think. Please be honest!

Crafty bloggers Network October Challenge

Rick St Dennis Digi Stamp

Hello my blogger friends. Well I have to say that I havent been very active lately as I started with a problem with my eyes which made it difficult to focus and then after haveing my first flu and pheumonia jab I can down with a terrible cold that just made my eyes stream which didnt help. I had tickets to go to The Great Northern Papercraft Show at Harrogate on Sunday and  didnt think I would make it. I did and am so glad that i did. Its a fab show and I had a wonderful time. I had a little catch up with my good friend and crafting buddy Sam and the gang on The Clarity Stand. I must say that they all worked really hard. I have a placed booked for a workshop with annette Lee on Satuday so will be wrapping myself in cotton wool to make sure that i am well enough to go.
enough of me. today sees the start of a new challenge on The Crafty Bloggers network and the sponsor this month is Rick St Dennis who has a great range of digi stamps. I chose Bratty Little Witch for my inspiration. I started by useing my Splodge Away cracked glass mask and rubbing through black soot distress ink. I then inked around the edges with dust concord . I mounted onto black card. The witch was printed out and coloured with pro markers and some highlighting done with glossy accents.. to finish it off I made a bow of a mixture of ribbons and wool in blacks and greys. Why not pop over to the blog at         http://craftybloggersnetwork.blogspot.co.uk/ and take a look at some of the amazing inspiration that the DT team have produced and have and why not enter, The theme this month is anything goes.
