Hi ladies and gentleman. Over on the SplodgeAway blog they are showcaseing some of Sams and my cards that we made for Create and Craft this month. Sue was rather partial to this one and suggested I do a tutorial for it. I was actually quite simple.
Material needed
Flower border mask from this months show.
Lilac pearl card
Border Punch
White Ribbon
Mica Powders
Double sided sticky paper.
Flower of your choice ( Mine was made with air dry clay and a mold then coloured with Mica Powder and silver guilding wax)
I cut a strip of sticky paper just slightly wider that the mask and after takeing off the protective paper on one side stuck the mask over it ( It can help to dust the mask with either anti static powder or rub with a tumble drier sheet, this helps release the mask easier)
I then dusted various colours of mica over the exposed sticky area. I then peeled off the mask and the repeated the process.
I cut a strip of lilac pearlised card and punched along each side with a decorative punch and after takeing the backing off then stuck my border onto it.
If you repeat this process twice and then glu onto a landscape A5 card leaving an even border top and bottom.
To finish I coloured some white ribbon with shaded lilac distress Ink and wrappedaround top border and tied bow and then glued flower to centre.
