CBN mid month inspiration.

Blowing Bubbles

Hi everyone hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather. Set to change though and thats typical as I am off to Kent and Sussex to visit my relatives and while I am there I might just get  a chance to pop into some of my favourite craft shops namely That Craft Place (Well I know I will definately be going there to add to my copic collection hahax\)The glitterpot and The craft barn if I am lucky as that one is a little out the way though sometimes hubby takes me on my way home. There is a nice little garden centre opposite where you can get a cuppa and scone to set us on our way.

Today I am shareing with you my contribution to The Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge mid month inspiration. The sponsor is art by miran and my image is blowing bubbles. I loved this one as as I am still limited to my choice of pens it didnt prove too much of a challenge. The background is some pink lace paper and the black mount was punched around with a Martha Stewart punch. Now in case any of you eagle eyes are saying well the corners lok a bit mibbled can I just say that it was a straight edged punch and not meant to go round corners!!!! I coloured with copic pents and then did the bubbles with pink and grey wink of stellas. I then went over the bubbles with glossy accents. As usual these techniques dont show so well in pics but I was delighted with the result and you can see the sparkle through the accents. to complete I added some flowers from my stash and ribbon made into a bow with a button in the centre. I hope you like.
This months challenge is pink and ribbon so why not pop over and have a look and enter one of your lovely creations in. This is the link

Well bloggers from tomorrow I am away for a couple of weeks but will try to keep up with activity on my I pad when I can so I hope that in the meanwhile you all keep well and

Sallys Birthday

My Daughters Birthday Card

Hi All. Can I just welcome my new followers and say thank you and how much I appreciate the fact that you like my work enough to want to follow my blog. I hope I dont dissapoint you. I am not the best of bloggers in that I dont do it often enough but you will find that I do a mix of cards and canvasses and altered art. I have been very fortunate in attending some great workshops lately and have some amazing one to go to yet. Namely an Andy Skinner and Anna Finniabair one. Cant wait to share those with you but they arent until later in the year. The card I would like to share with you today is a one that I made for my daughters birthday last. week. I have recently got rid of my pro markers and am starting to collect Copics. At the moment I dont have a huge range so feel I am struggling a little with my colouring . They are different to work with too as they have the brush nib. Still practice makes perfect so I guess thats a good excuse to do lots of stamping and colouring. lolx. Any ladies out there who use Copic? I wouldnt be offended to recieve some tips.

Once again thank you for all your positive commets.

Splodge Away Workshop

Under The Sea

Good afternoon friend, bloggers and visitor. First of all can I just say a great big heartfelt thank you to everyone who visits my blog and especially those who leave a comment. I do appreciate the time you all take and the kindness you show with your lovely comments. I know I dont blog as often as I should so its lovely to see loyal visitors return. I keep promising myself I will be good and do it more ofter but life just seems to get in the way at times.

The canvass I am shareing with you today is a one I did a t Suzicrafts at a Splodge Away workshop. I confess that i went purely to help!!!! bur my fingers itched and I just had to get stuck in. lolx. I dont consider myself to have a style really and just love to have a go at anything but this one I thought was pushing it for me. How wrong was I . I just loved doing it. As I really did have to help I couldnt get it all done on the day and brought it home to finish and this is the result. as often is the case in Photos you cant get the true feel from the pic. there is so much dimention to this its untrue. I thought it was a large project and brave of Tom to attempt it in one day be power to the ladies. They did it but had to work really hard.
Hope you like it and thanks for popping over.

APRIL CHALLENGE AT CBN

My Inspiration

Well yesterday was the start of the April challenge over at Crafty bloggers Network. Firstly can I just say a big congratulations to the winners. The entries are all wonderful and it is so hard to choose winners as they are all so gorgeous.
This months challenge is dies and embossing so why not enter on of your makes . The sonsor this month is Rick St Dennis and you have the chance to win some digi images.
For my inspiration this month I embossed a piece of white card with a creative expressions embossing folder and then distressed it with shaded lilac. I then downloaded the digi image into my docrafts programme and sized it to fit a 6x6 card. ( The finished card is a 7x7) I then coloured with pro markers and wink of stellas. My fav product of the moment. Unfortunately you cant see the sparkle on the photo but they really do wink.
I finished off by distressing the edges and mounting onto the embossed card and adding some flowers from my stash. Have to own up at these ones were not made by me. lolx I couldnt resist adding the little ladybird at the end. I have had these embellishment in my stash for so long and cant bear to use them in case I run out. I know we all do it. Stupid isnt it. lol.x Well I must go as I have a spring fayre to do some makes for at the weekend and have very little made so will be burning the midnight oil me thinks.x

Workshop with Annette Lee

This months creation

Last months creation

Happy sunday to all of my followers and visitors. Hope you have all had as good a weekend as I have. Saturday started it off with a workshop in Sedgield with the lovely Annette Lee. This is a monthly event that I really look forward to. Annette comes up with some gorgeous projects and I have met some lovely crafty buddies there. The first project was done useing mainly Paper Artsy products from there mount board down to there stamps and paints.  Everyone was really quiet during this one as they were concentrating so much. it was really funny as one lady shouted out cannon balls just to see if everyone was awake. My second project was done last month and I very rudely forgot to blog it!!!!!  How could I. It was a canvas made useing all different techniques and again useing some Paper Artsy stamps, inks and stencil. There products are a joy to play with. I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed makeing them. Today turned out to be lovely and sunny and warm ( If a little windy) so I went with hubby to the beach and met my daughter, son in law, niece and her husband and two boys. We had a lovely walk along the promenade to the river and back having chips on the way and finishing it of in Minchellas ice cream parlour. What more could you ask for? Well I am meeting my friend to go to bingo tonight so a nice win would be good. lolx Hope you all had a good weekend  and are keeeping well.

You should see the candy to be won. Believe me if you have time to make something in the theme then its worth joining in and Hels blog is always an inspiration. I havent time on this post to go through how I achieved the makeover as I am pushed for time but if you would like me too I will post it after the weekend. All I will say is there was papers, stamping, inking, treasure gold and very mucky paws. The flowers took the longest as there were fuve and all were stamped cut and coloured. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

CBN DT Inspiration

Good morning all. Hope  you all had a lovely weekend and that some of you like myself were lucky enough to visit the Harrogate Great North Eastern Paper Show. I had a lovely time and met for the first time a lot of lovely ladies who have been crafty facebook friends for some time. I have to say that I was a tad dissapointed with the stands this time. It was smaller. a lot of companies missing but nice never the less.

Well today I am shareing with you the card I made for the Crafty Bloggers Network mid month challenge inspiration. the sponsors being Imagine That Digi Images and the theme nature. I chose this lovely sheep as I thought it very seasonal as the first spring lambs are now being born. I must apologise for the quality of the photo. Something not right is happening with my camera and the last few photos that I have taken have not done the images justice despite doing some auto correct on them. never mind for those of you that are interested I will give you a quick run down of how it was made. It is an 8x8 card base. I printed image and cut out with die cut and then coloured with pro markers and wink of stellas then dusted with distress ink. I then mixed some silver mica powder with water and dabbed into it with some scrunched up cling film and patted over the top. I then osed the next size up die and cut out with a contrasting Imagine that matching paper. This was then mounted onto another contrastin paper and then black card. I used a sticky back cotton lace to wrap aound bottom of cardand made three flowers with a Tattered Lace die and Imagine that paper. Two buttons from my stash were added to finish. Hope you like it.

Well off to do a bit of housework. Hubby has been sunning himself in Spain for the last week and is home tomorrow so want to fool him into thinking that I have done nothing but housework since he has been away. Haha.

Another canvass

Hello bloggers. Happy weekend. We'll here is my latest canvass. Again this one took very little time and was really good fun to do. I gessoed a canvass in black and them stuck on a mixture of Suzicrafts fandangales and Indigo Blue altered egoes.  This was done pretty randomly until the canvass was pretty well covered and I did put double and triple layers in some places to give more dimension and texture.  I then covered in black gesso.  Out came all my Dylusion, fireworks and Cosmic shimmer sprays!!  I sprayed randomly with white and a mixture of bue and greens. To finish I edged with silver treasure gold and dusted around the canvass with the silver and gold. Finished. Hope you like it. We'll as I am on my own at the moment as hubby is sunning himself in Spain with the old boys I shall have to go and start making my own dinner. Lolx
Thank you for visiting.

From the I Pad

Well folks if this blog is a bit odd it's because I am trying to post from the I Pad. I don't think I am doing very well but practice makes perfect, hahax . This canvass was one I made on a visit to Suzicraft. When I got there Mr Splodgeaway. Our Tom was halfway through a class and he gave me a canvass and said go for it. This was the result. It was made in record time. I literally picked up 3 different Splodgeaway masks and gesso end through them. It the spaces in between I added more gesso stippling different patterns. The lightbulbs and cogs and clock were then placed on the canvass and gessoed over. They are manufactured by Splodgeaway from Splodgeaway board. The word time are chipboard which were painted with gesso. Stamped with a number stamp. Sprayed with a cosmic shimmer mist and then edged with Treasure Gold in silver. I stuck them on with glossy accents. Opus I forgot to say before I stuck them on I gave the canvass a fine covering with a silver acrylic paint. Sprayed lightly with a pale pink cosmic shimmer mist. I then used a gold spray and sprayed the Splodge  board pieces. I used treasure gold in gold around the pieces and edges of the canvas. Lastly I stuck a charm on the bottom right which I had coloured with treasure gold and edged the canvass with black soot distress ink. phew that was a marathon.

My apologies for any grammar and spelling mistakes.
I don't want to waffle any more but can I just say Abigail thank you and welcome tones followers and as always a big thank you for all your lovely comments.

Hels Sheridan workshop

My masterpeices

Hello bloggers and followers. thank you for takeing the time to pop to my blog and for all your lovely comments. I know I promised over a week ago to share these with you but once again technology beeats me. I have some beautiful photos on my i pad not only of my work but everyone elses too and a real fun photo of Hels but unfortunatley I havent worked out yet how to get them on the blog so I have given up for the time being and used the good old faithfull camera. I cant begin to explain to you how we made them as we used so many different techniques but if you  go to Hels blog I believe she may have a tutorial on ther and she also has an article with asimilar project on in Marches Craft Stamper magazine.
I know I am not very good at blogging regular but this next week I have a real good excuse as tomorrow I am off to Langle Castle with hubby and Daughter and son in law for afternoon tea to celebrate there wedding anniversary as that is where they were married. I am so excited to be going back as it has memories of a wonderful day. Then on Monday I am off to Sussex to visit my Brother and all his wonderful family. Its an extra special visit as I will be meeting for the first time my latest great nephew Lucas James who was born last November. No crafting for me for a while then but keep fingers crossed that i get to visit a few craft stores while I am there. The Glitter Pot is just down the road and if we manage a visit Eastbourne there are a couple of shops there. Hope you all have a wonderful week of crafting and see you all when I get back.

NEW CHALLENGE AT CRAFTY BLOGGERS NETW0RK

My Crafty Bloggers Network DT Card

Hi crafty bloggers and followers. Well this week sees the start of a new challenge over at the Crafty Bloggers Network and this is my contribution. This months challenge is All Ablout Men and the sponsors are Just Some Lines. This card is an 8x8 but I have cut a piece of white card at 7x7 and the silver mirri card to mount it on just slightly bigger so the card has a white boarder. i have distressed the card useing Tim Holtz distress inks in Salty Ocean, faded jeans and a purple which I cant remember the name of. How shocking is that. i have used a shaving brush first as you get a more misty effect. The fish are then very roughly painted which different shades of reds and oranges. The sentiment was typed on the conputer then cut out distressed and then mounted on mirri as well. this was glued accross the centre of the card . Die cut flourishes added on the bottom corner and finished of with clear dew drops over the flourish and in the top right. I then went around the edge of the card with inka gold in silver  before mounting. I love any trpe of guilding wax at the moment. Its my favourite thing How about you. If you would like to joing the challenge then why not pop over to
.http://craftybloggersnetwork.blogspot.co.uk/
Before I go I would just like to mention that I said in my last post that I would share with you what I made at my Hels Sheridan workshop. Well I will but I have a dilemma. I took photos on both my camera and on my newly aquired mini i pad. The i pad ones are much superior and really show up the dimentions on the projects but I cant work out how to get them on. I dont know yet how to access my blog on the i pad unless someone has put a link on. Any hints would be most appreciated.x

Same Stamp different technique

DYLUSIONS COUTOURE COLLECTION

Hi everyone. Thank you for popping over to my blog and for those of you that comment an extra special thank you as your words are so much appreciated.
Well I thought I would try and get another quick blog in in January just so I could say I had blogged twice. Even though there was only two days between them. haha.
I have ussed the same stamp as in my previous blog and it just shows the versatility of these stamps. Suzicraft are launching a new range called Majestic Fandangles which can be bought either in the shop or on there e bay shop and Sue has so kindly asked me to make samples for her so I have combined the stamps with the fandangle muxical notes. They are made by Tom from Splodgeaway from his splodge board.I have used a piece of Graphic 45 typography paper and distressed the edges and then gone round with inka golk in gold and silver. I do like this medium. I then used black Gesso for the musical notes and then inka gold around the edges. Next I stamped the dress and hat onto the paper direct and then stamped it again onto another piece of  Graphic 45 paper. I then cut the dress and hat out and paper pieced it onto the stamped image. To complete I put silver sticky back gems randomly onto the dress and added a god flower from my stash. Hope you like it.
Well I am now off the prepare for tomorrow. I am so excited as I am going to a weekend workshop with Hels Sheridan and friends who attended last week said it was amazing but they have been sworn to secrecy and wont tell me what we are doing. Early night for me so I am bright eyed and bushy tailed for tomorrow. Not that I expect to sleep as I am so excited.
Will share with you the projects that we make and so photos next week.
Good night all and hope you have a fabby weekend.x

Happy New Year

Well hello to all you bloggers and followers. I am back. I have had a series of problems with computers printers and then lost my camera! After that I lost my mojo but I am back so hope its not to late to wish you all a Happy new year.!!!!
I have managed to do a few cards which I will post over the comeing week and hope you find time to come and have a peek and tell me what you think

These first ones are from the Dylusions Coutoure Range and I have chosen to Zentangle them. Have you ever tried to make a clean classic card? Its not easy.  Mind I did snak a bit of colouring in on one.Well I dont think so anyway as I just want to keep adding things but I forced myself in the case of these ones. What do you think? I chose not to zentangle all of the stamp as I think it gives it a bit more of a punch.
Reading everyones post it looks like we have some beautiful work to look forward to seeing in the comeing year. I am very excited ( and hope it really kicks my mojo back in) to be attending a Hels Sheridan two day workshop at the weekend. I am so excited. Some of my crafty buddies went last weekend and said it was amazing so I cant wait. the following weekend I am going to an Annette Lee workshop which I have been to before and just loved.
Thank you all for supporting my blog last year and sticking with me and visiting this year.

AUTUMN IN SPLODGE LAND

Hello to all you Splodgy Splodgers and bloggers. Today i am shareing with you the inspiration I made for the Splodge Away blog whos theme this week is Autumn. I am sorry if I am a bit late in shareing this with you but been a very busy day as I had to take my cousin to hospital to have a procedure done which took up a lot of time so I know you will understand. I used three maske to make this card, well four if you include the mask for the sun. I placed that onto the card and then blended around the edges fading it as I got towards the middle. I then went in with the dotty mask around the 3 corners gradually fading the colours. I then did the leafy swirl to the right  and used just the leaves randomly around the card. Finally I did the tree which i then used guilding flakes over. A little bit of ink across the sun and a Hobby Art sentiment finished it of. I was trying to get the feel of the wind and falling leaves into the card. Did I succeed? Love to hear your thoughts.

2nd post for today.

Gremlins in the works!

Good Afternoon. Well I wasnt going to post this till tomorrow but as I had such a problem with my first post today and the wrong blog address was posted I thought I might as well just do a new post and hopefully get the right blog address on. This was made with the third stamp in the Clarity set we used at the workshop and the centre arch was a Clarity mask. I wont go into too much detail as I am now short on time but can I just say that the sentiment is A Hobby Art one and the little acorns were finished with glossy accents. what a difference this made.
Enjoy the rest of your day and
