GRAPHIC 45 AT SUZICRAFT

Claire Charville and Graphic 45 at Suzicraft

Hi all. This morning I thought it might be nice to share with you a project I made last Saturday when I went to a workshop at Suzicraft. It was hosted by the lovely Clare Charville and we all made this fabulouse bottle carrier. Well actually that was what it was inspired by but everyone had different thoughts on what they were going to use it for. I havent made up my mind yet but I m sure it wont take me too long to decide. One of the ladies was going to fill it with preserves for a friend for xmas. what a lucky lady to receive this as a gift. It was made from Splodge Board and covered in Graphic 45 papers. We could chose from either steampunk which had a spooky theme or xmas. I chose xmas as I am not really into hallowean etc. The nice thing about the xmas papers is that they are not "In your face " christmas themed. Very subtle so it can be kept on show throughout the year. Sadly it would turn into war and peace if I tried to give you even a brief tutorial so I wont even try but I believe that if you go to Claires web site she will have it on there. Hope you like and if any of you are around in November Claire will be doing another workshop this time making a book /photo album. Just pop to the suzicraft facebook page for details.

Enjoy your day

INSPIRED BY KAY HALLIWELL-SUTTON

Good morning crafty friends. this morning I thought it would be nice to share with you my mannequin that I made after going to a demo day with kay halliwell-sutton last Saturday at Suzicraft. This lady knows her stuff. The friend I made the 65th card for has a lounge in red black and white and so I thought I would do it in those colours and if it turned out OK i would give it to her for her birthday. What do you think? Well cant stay long on here as we are getting ready to go out and enjoy what might be the last good weekend this year. We are heading off to Wallington National Trust. A lovely place to go for a wander and enjoy the weather. I am wondering what the flowered garden is looking like at this time of the year as by now most blooms are dyeing off. Whatever you decided to do today I hope you enjoy.

CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS SHOE STAMPS

Creative expressions stamps and spellbinders dies.

Good evening all. (Sounds like Dixon of Dock Green for any of you who are old enough to remember) lolx Well I chose to share with you today a card I have made for my friends birthday next week. Now I know that I can put it on here as she is definately not into computers or crafting but she is always excited to open up my cards to see what I have made for her this time! this is one of my makes that I particularly like. I do like mono but I have used my new Creative Expressions Stamps and I have to say that they are lovely so if any of you are " thinking about getting them" I can recomend. I stamped them with versamark and then embossed with black wow powder and they came up great. I stamped all of the designs before making up my mind which ones to use and I have put the other shoes to one side to make othere cards. The background is an embossing folder.
Hope you like it. Please let me know what you think.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and can I just say that I wait for your comments with baited breath and always feel honoured that you have taken the time to visit and leave comments.

Kay Halliwell-Sutton at Suzicraft.

Creative expressions stamp designed by Sam Poole

Hi my blogger friends. I dont like to blog without a pic to show you and I must be honest that I havent done as muxh crafting lately as I should have done. This is a stamp designed by Sam Poole and I just love the zentangle effect. I love sentangle and this one is a big cheat as its done for you so you only have to colour. I coloured mine with various shades of beige, brown and peach pro markers and then highlighted some areas with a white pen. I distressed the edges with my favourite scattered straw, wild honey and then weathered wood. i made sure thatI didnt go right up to the owl so it left a halo around ti. I then stamped with chicken wire in brown courderoy and drew faux stiches around the edge. I finished of with words off a JOFY stamp.x

On Saturday I went down to Suzicraft in Stockton as Sue and Tom were hosting a demo day with Kay Halliwell Sutton of Indigo Blue. Well I cant say how fantastic a day it was. Great hosts and fabulous company . Amazing demos. I even saw my pal Sam there who I havent seen for ages for it was a perfect day. Here are a few photos I took of her great work.

I had a lovley chat with Kay and we talked about our name as its not a very common one but we said how we have met more in the crafting world than in the rest our life so it must be a creative name. lol.x What was really interesting is that we discovered during our chat that we were both named after our grandfathers favourite film actress Kay Francis and she told me that she had discussed this with Kay Carley and she also was named after her. I think we should start up a Kay Francis appreciation society. hah.x

Well thats all for me today. Hope you all keep well.

Altered Art Projects

Graphic 45 The Secret Garden

What a horrible wet day. Shorts and T shirst yesterday today long trousers, socks and fleece! British weather at its best! lolx Even the better half has decided to stay in and watch the England match rather than go on his usual Friday night jaunt to the town!  Now I think he is showing his age. lolx  Anyway I thought I would share with you some little pieces that I have done the last couple of weeks. I dont usually do wood. If you know what I mean but a couple of weeks ago i went to suzicrafts for a workshop with Annette Lee  and we were supposed to be decorating a wooden house but they didnt arrive in time ( Well they arrived half way through our workshop. Bah!!!!) So instead we made a lovely card but got to take our boxes home. We went back the next week to do the boxes with Sue. Well we didnt get them finished so we all took them home. I have just finished mine and you know what? I am not giving this one away as I love it. Last week when I went to suszicraft sue had just had a delivery of wooden objects of all descriptions so she asked me if I would take one home and decorate it for her for the shop. I wanted to use things that she sold in the shop so I stamped with Sam Poole stamps by Creative Expressions and coloured with distress inks. Around the edges of the box was finished with guilding waxes. Hope you like and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Have a good weekend.
