MEET HARRY

My Little Friend

Well what a morning I have had. packed the card ready for my weekly visit to Suzicraft and so far down the A19 the card lost its power and I had to coast into a lay by!!! I wont bore you with all the details but I eventually got the AA and they escorted me home so that put pay to that. It completly threw me as I now had to re think my day. the outcome was that I decided to introduce you to Harry my little hedgehog friend. I made him out of an old paper back book and a few buttons. I am not going to go into the details but if anyone would like to know how to make one if you let me know either in the comments or pm me on facebook I will do a little tutorial. A very easy project but lots of fun. Hope you like him as much as I do. he now takes pride of place in my Lounge.

Well first can I say that I am proud to announce that I have been asked, and joined, the design team for Crafty Bloggers Network. ( It would have been rude not to accept) the above is the first piece that I have done for there inspiration. Sadly I dont think that the picture does it justice. Maybe if you enlarge it more detail will show. I feel that joining this team will broaden my crafting activity as I have some very talented people on this team to live up to. ( It certainly has my IT abilities lol.x
If you havent viewed this site before please pop over and have a look  it gives bloggers a chance to show off there work and some fabulous stuff there is too.  Just follow this link

IM BACK

Hi all you lovely crafty bloggers. I haven't been blogging for a little while as I have been down the South visiting all my lovely relatives and oh do I have some adorable great nephews and nieces.x
After only being  home a few days I then had some visitors of my own so I am chasing my tail at the moment trying to play catch up and the heat has slowed me down such a lot. I am not complaining though as after 8 months of cold and rain etc it is very welcome even though it has come with a vengeance. hope you all enjoy it but please be sensible and don't sit in it for too long.
I thought to start with I would share with you another sample I did for the last splodge away show. This one was a bit of fun and very simple to make. I simply placed the mask over some card and coloured in the splodges with different brightly coloured distress inks. The letters were stamped with the Dylusions alphabet and then embossed and cut out. I edged the cards with a lit bit of weathered wood just to take the starkness off and then mounted onto black card and put some black pearl marker faux brads in each corner.  I am off out tonight with my best buddies who I went to France with for a meal and catch up and then tomorrow night its a meal with my hubby of 45 years as its our Anniversary so hopefully by next week it will be back to normal and I can catch up on my crafting duties. While I was away I did manage ( suprise suprise) to fit in a visit to a few craft shops. Snazzys in Swindon was my first stop and then later on I visited the Craft Barns new premises. wow so much space. have to admit though that I did like the quirkiness of their old premises. The result is I have some nice new stamps that I need to play with and I am getting withdrawal symptoms.
Can I just say again a great big THANK YOU to all the visitors to my blog and an extra big thanks to those that take the time to comment. It is so so much appreciated.

See you soon

Hi Everyone.

Hi everyone. Well I have literally just got back from two weeks away down in Kent, sussex and Wiltshire visiting all my lovely relatives and the sunshine came out for me for nearly all the time. In fact by the end of my break it was sweltering. I hope that all of you enjoyed the same kind of  weather. While I was away Tom had another show on C&C with some more of his amazing masks. I didn tget to do so many samples this time because of my break but thought I would share this one with you for now. ( Had to copy from the splodgeaway blog as havent got them downloaded onto my PC yet) http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/

I loved how although the DT members come from all over the country lots of us did some Zentangle in on our samples this month without each other knwoing. I dont know about the other ladies but this is my first go at it and the above is the result. It is so relaxing. I used the honeycomb mask as a background and then stamped the dylusions stamp and hat on a seperate piece of card and just marked of a little area at a time and doodled until the dress and hat were finished. I think I am addicted now as I am zentagling everything in sight. lolx I then cut the images out and mounted them onto my background and mat and layered on black and finished with a pearl in each corner.

Before I get back to the unpacking and dreaded washing that is inevitable after a holiday can a just say a huge big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to pop to my blog and left messages. They are genuinely much appreciated. Also welcome to my new followers and that you for joining me.

Well bye for now and see you soon I hope.
