Well had my weekly crafty fix at suzicraft today and as usual had a great time. Lots of fun with Dimps and her duck hat and nerf gun!!!!!!! Needles to say tom had a go.
Its my great nephews first birthday and his dedication into his parents church at the weekend so all the family are travelling down to sussex on saturday to celebrate. I have just be informed that we will be going to a couple of firework displays while we are there too. Great. I am a big kid when it comes to firework displays. Plenty of ooohs and aaaaars.lolx. So today I spent my time at suzicraft makeing a memory box for Zac and the last of the cards I had to make. So I thought I would share them with you. The gingerbread man was made with my new inky doodle stamps and they are great to work with. As I am away for a few days no crafting or blogging I am sorry to say but its worth it to see all my lovely nephews and nieces.

We have weather!!!!

Sleet. hail, sun , wind and snow all in one day. Winter has come early. Brrrrrrrrrrr.
Never mind all the more excuse to stay in doors in the warm and craft. I am of out tonight as its my daughters mother in laws birthday so thought I would share with you the cards I have made.

The above one is from Sally and Paul and I have used one of Splodge Aways masks. Distressed the edges. cut holes and wove ribbon through then filled the centre with paper flowers. I have done the middles with gold pearls. Topped by a butterfly and yes you crafters have guessed it the butterflys come out when a little ditty error occurs. This one was I dripped my tea.!!!!!! I am really into makeing my flowers at moment but these were bought paper ones from Suzicraft.

This one is from Cliff and myself. A little black and white rocker card. I think this one is very effective if I say so myself. It was so easy to make too. I used the Grand Calibut to cut out a large circle nestability in black and the next size down in white paper for the insert. I then cut the smallest one for the topper. In my stash I had the big flower already made. I then cu three flourishes. These were all then layered onto the card. The butterfly ( and no you are wrong there was no mistake to cover up this time) was then stuck on to complete.

These butterflys are black and white and made out of acetate and are layered. They are really nice. Wish I could remember where I got them as I only have one left.

Enjoy your extra hours sleep tonight.

Thanks to my wonderful friends in the picture above what should have been a realxing crafty day has turned into nurse a headache day.! We have been friends for over 30 years now and got to know each other as we all worked together and have remained friends ever since. Every so often we meet up to play catch up and find out how our families are doing ( between us I reckon we could write a book of the war and peace proportions) We have arranged the next day out as a trip to York as thats where Marilyn now lives and we can hit the shops and restaurants. After that I have foolishly agreed to a trip in Paris at the turn of the year to celebrate our big birthdays. (I am not going to tell you how old we will all be) You may think why foolishly well the fact of the matter is I am terrified of flying and I am claustraphobic and dont like tunnels so either way I am snookered. My hubby says I will be there before I know it and so do the girls. Well they might regret it if I throw a wobbler on the way there or back. Haha.x

See you soon.

Well I am nursing a bit of a bad head after last night out with my three bestie friends. We have all known each other for over 30 years now after all working together as sales negotiators with Brosley Estates. Although we all now work in different places  (or like me and are retired) we always keep in touch by having a get together night out and catch up with whats being going on with our familys. Between us I think we could write a book ( of the war and peace proportions) Although we dont see each other regularly you would never believe it as its just like we saw each other yesterday. Our next outing in a trip to York in November where we will meet Marilyn as thats where she now lives. The biggy one after that is a trip to Paris some time at the beginning of next year. Now this is as a joint celebration of all of our big birthdays of one number or another which I am not going to tell you. I have woke up this morning regretting this as I have flying am claustrophobic and dont like tunnel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My hubby tells me I will be there before I know it.! Alright for him and well the girls might regret me agreeing to it if I throw a panic attack on the way.Haha. That would teach them.
Well I was going to have a nice relaxing crafty day today but the headache has stopped that. ( Serves me right but how can you refuse a full bottle of wine when the barman tells you if you buy two glasses you get the rest of the bottle free)lolx

See you all when I have recovered.

Had the kind of day I enjoy most today. Spent most of the day at Suzicraft. some lovely ladies were having a craft class and I am very honoured to say that they were doing there take on a card that I had made for  Splodgeaways last show on TV, http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/
I have to say that they were doing some lovely work and (sorry Mo and Peter) I just said ladies but of course Mo and Peter were there two. Mo excelled himself this week. Although they were useing the  splodgeawy poinsettia  make it mask. Just to show the verstility of it  Mo did his flowers in a beautiful lilac. It was a Distress Ink but not sure of the colour with some black Adirondak to shade which turned a lovely shade of purple in the centre. Wish I had taken a photo so that I could show you.
When I got back home hubby was doing dinner and then my son paid us a short visit so all in all a good day.

For anyone who doesnt know the Splodge Away blog has its first monthly challenge on and the theme is Sparkle and Gems. I have just been having a look at some of the beautiful entries. Why dont you have a go and enter a card. Follow this link  http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/ and look down the right hand side of the blog to locate the challenge rules. All you have to do really is enter a card with a sparkle and gem theme and have used a splodge away product in the making of the card. If you join in good luck.

What a glorious autumn day. I have just come back from having lunch at the Knotty Hill golf club in Sedgefield with my son daughter and son in law. From there we went for a walk in Hardwick Park and finished up in the coffee shop with tea and cake.mmmmmmmmmm So nice we sat outside to have it.

Splodge Away have launched a new monthly challenge competition on their blog that anyone can enter as long as they have used a Splodge Away product in there project. The design team have made some samples following this months theme which is glitter and gems. Above is my contribution but you can view more on the blog at  SplodgeAway.blogspot.co.uk  In my contribution I have used a Splodge mask coloured with glittter gel. Stamps stamped on Splodge easy ink card coloured with mica powders and embellished with a selection of gems and stickles. Why dont you go to the website and enter one of your projects. You never know you might win.

Good Luck

The One that got away

.

This is one of the cards that I made for the Splodge Away show on Create and Craft last week but it hid and didnt make an appearance. However it was found and made its debut on the Dawn Bibby show on Tuesday afternoon. I used two of Toms masks to make this and used my Pan Pastels to colour. Sprayed with Spray and Sparkle to seal.

Harrogate hear we come. It seems like all the crafting world is going to be there tomorrow and I cant wait. There is something about that craft show that has a buxx. Looking forward to seeing the lovely Jenny Meyes. ( Thats if I can near her) I think this is about far north as she gets. Will have to see if we cant persuade her to come to Suzicraft!

Good evening everyone. Hope you all enjoyed Dawn Bibbys show on C&C this afternoon with our fabulous Mr Splodge Away. Great programme with all the lovely new techniques. Gesso is amazing and I wasnt suprised to see Toms hands full of it when he was demonstrating as I just knew he would have been playing with it off camera.

I finished my day off today with the lovely ladies at Swanstyle craft group held at our local community centre and they very kindly agreed to let me take some photos of them and there work to share with you all.

Christmas is the main theme of the day at the moment it seems except our gorgeous unique Margaret who is making Funky ladies.x they are great Margaret. All of the ladies produce some lovely work.

Goodnight to everyone and
